Antwone’s gifts for community engagement, art, and social justice were evident in his work with Destination Crenshaw, a transformative infrastructure project aiming to create a thriving, vibrant commercial corridor supporting local and small businesses while showcasing Black arts and culture.
Working with institutions like California Community Foundation, Liberty Hill Foundation, the New York City Mayor’s Office, and leaders like leaders leaders like Mayor Michael Tubbs and Councilmember Marqueece Harris Dawson, have enabled Antwone to organize with stakeholders around the country to refine their visions, coordinate with multiple levels of government, and fundraise to bring community led projects and programs to life.
